The Halifax Historical Museum is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Halifax area. The Halifax Historical Society history covers from Ormond Beach through Ponce Inlet on the beach side and through Port Orange on the mailand. The staff supervises a large group of wonderful volunteers. All operational aspects of the Museum are governed by an elected Board of Directors.

Research Tools
        The Halifax Historical Society Museum is the largest research facility in Volusia County for local research. The Museum offers a variety of tools for researchers. Our offerings include: Vintage Photographic and Postcard Archives, Vertical File Materials, Books & Magazines, and Documents.
          For non-members there is a charge of $10 to do research in the museum. Research for HHS Members is included in the membership.
         Research handled by staff is $20 an hour for non-members. Research requests by e-mail should be sent to mail@halifaxhistorical.org Please put "research" in the subject line.
