WELCOME TO

Halifax Historical Museum

Nestled in Daytona Beach’s 1910 Merchants Bank building, the Halifax Historical Museum is a local treasure with deep roots. Opened on September 21, 1911, the building is a standout example of Beaux Arts architecture and is proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Over the decades, it has seen expansions, weathered economic shifts, and welcomed generations of visitors. From its early banking days to its transformation into a cultural hub, the building’s story is inseparable from the history it now helps preserve.
